Innovative bioinput solutions empowering farmers, researchers, and agri-entrepreneurs across NE India and beyond โ rooted in AAU science, driven by impact.
Assure Biovention Private Limited is based at DBT-North East Centre for Agricultural Biotechnology, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, Assam. We are a pioneer innovative solution provider in biological sciences, empowering the agricultural sector including students, researchers, entrepreneurs, and farmers.
We foster collaborations and promote skill development to transform agricultural education and agritech landscape in Northeast India and beyond.
The company has been registered under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, GoI, New Delhi on 5th August, 2024 with the following objectives:
Guided by experienced leaders at the intersection of agriculture, science, and entrepreneurship.

Promoting organic and integrated farming in NE India and beyond through science-backed biological inputs.
Imprudent application of agrochemicals with resultant side effects of environmental degradation, pesticide contamination of agricultural commodities has resulted in a paradigm shift in crop and soil health management from chemo-intensive to bio-intensive strategies in recent times. Additionally, the potential of North-East India as an organic hub of the country coupled with accelerated demand for residue-free or organically grown crops have raised the prospects of organic farming.
The organic agriculture means application of bioinputs such as biofertilizers to promote soil health and biopesticide/bioprotectant to prevent occurrence of diseases and pests. The bioinputs may be mixed with dry cowdung/vermicompost for better multiplication of microbial strains. In an integrated approach, application of bioinputs is combined with 50% doses of chemicals as per recommendation (50% RD of chemicals + 50% bioinputs in a time gap of 3โ7 days).
The DBT-North-East Centre for Agricultural Biotechnology, AAU, Jorhat has developed several efficient biofertilizers and bioprotectants to promote organic agriculture in the NE region. Our company has signed an MoU with AAU, Jorhat on Nov 5, 2024, for commercialization of these bioinput technologies.
AAU BIOSHAKTI contains triacontanol, a metabolic activator that enhances photosynthetic activity and plant growth.
BIOPUSHTI is a biofertilizer containing a mixture of Azotobacter chroococcum, phosphate-solubilizing rhizobia, and Burkholderia arboris.

Dr. Bidyut Chandan Deka, Vice Chancellor, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat inaugurated the newly established Bioinput laboratory of the company on July 15, 2025 in presence of Dr. P K Pathak, Dean, FA; Dr. S Chetia, Director of Research and Dr. P Deb Nath, HoD, Dept of Plant Pathology, AAU, Jorhat. About 30 participants including small tea growers and farmers from Assam and Nagaland were also present in the inaugural ceremony.
Following the inauguration, a DBT, GoI-sponsored training programme "Application of Bio-inputs for Sustainable Agriculture" was conducted, jointly organised by the Biopesticide unit of DBT-North East Centre for Agriculture Biotechnology, AAU Jorhat and Assure Biovention Pvt. Ltd. In his inaugural address, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Dr. Bidyut Chandan Deka provided a comprehensive overview of the present scenario and future prospects of biopesticides and biofertilizers in organic farming at both national and international levels.
The training attracted enthusiastic participation from growers representing various organizations of Assam, including KERUF, Karbi Anglong, and Nagaland. The programme concluded with hands-on practical demonstrations, further enriching the learning experience. Participants were distributed with various bioinputs for demonstration in about 20 hectares (tea garden and agriculture farms). Each participant received a certificate from the Director DBT-NECAB.
In a significant step towards sustainable farming, our company, in collaboration with Assam Agricultural University (AAU), is spearheading efforts to promote organic agriculture in Karbi Anglong, Assam. This initiative is being carried out in partnership with a local farmer group under the Karbi Ex-Revolutionary United Forum (KERUF), and with the support of the Karbi Anglong district administration.
Currently, around 100 bighas of maize and 50 bighas of pumpkin are under organic cultivation using biofertilizers and biopesticides developed by AAU and supplied by Assure Biovention Pvt. Ltd. These bioinputs are helping farmers transition from conventional to organic practices, aiming for better soil health, reduced chemical usage, and sustainable yields.
To showcase these efforts, a Field Day was organized in the cultivation zone under the Bokajan subdivision, focusing on the theme: "Application of Bioinputs to Promote Organic Agriculture." The programme witnessed the participation of 65 farmers affiliated with KERUF.
Encouraged by the success of this initiative, stakeholders are optimistic about expanding organic farming across a larger area of Karbi Anglong in the near future, with continued involvement of KERUF and support from local authorities.
An awareness programme on the application of bioinputs was successfully organized by our company in collaboration with Goodricke Tea Ltd. on 23rd May 2026. The programme witnessed active participation from a total of 16 attendees, including executives, managers, and assistant managers representing four tea gardens from Upper Assam.
The session focused on enhancing understanding of bioinputs and their practical applications in sustainable agricultural practices, particularly in the tea industry. Participants engaged in discussions on the benefits, usage techniques, and long-term impact of bio-based agricultural inputs.
During the programme, Mr. Nigel DโSouza, Senior Manager (Operations), Assam, expressed his satisfaction with the performance of our existing products. He also conveyed his keen interest in evaluating our newly developed products and assured that trials would be conducted in their tea gardens.
The programme concluded on a positive note, strengthening collaboration and paving the way for future initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable and eco-friendly agricultural practices.
